Comprised within the boundaries of the protected area of Parco di Veio, the farm is few kilometres North as the crow flies from the centre of Rome. The park is like a green oasis in a strongly urbanised area and abounds in archaeological finds that show the richness of its past. It is in this area in fact that Veio, the ancient capital of the Etruscan civilization, was located. Today the farm stands as a model for organic cultivations, with livestock grazing in open pastures, crop rotations and a special attention given to all aspects of sustainability.

The restaurant serves organic vegetables and meat produced within the farm, while in the in-house facility milk obtained from more than 800 sheep is processed to make cheese sold in the farm’s grocery. The agritourism has 16 rooms, all personalised by different floorings and interiors. A very large multifunctional hall equipped with the most advanced sound and video systems has a capacity exceeding 500 seats. The services offered by the property, including highly qualified human resources, are available for organising meetings, conferences, festivals, exhibitions, concerts, incentives and team building events. The same care and attention devoted to the requirements of individual guests is provided for large groups of visitors.

But I Casali del Pino is far more than this. Ilaria Venturini Fendi would like the farm to be a place where people re-discovering the love for nature and the earth might share these values at just a short distance from a big urban city like Rome. That’s why FloraCult, the flower and plant show held at I Casali del Pino every year at the end of April, has become a “must” for thousands of fans.

FloraCult was born as an event intended to bring nature back into culture, by promoting the love for gardening and the knowledge of plants and their use. Not just for experts, it is rather seen as an attempt to attract people towards a greener lifestyle, contributing to a cultural revolution focused upon a stronger individual awareness and a greater respect for the environment.
